What is CVE-2026-49248?

OneDev Git Server, which provides CI/CD, kanban, and package management features, is affected by a vulnerability that arises from the TarUtils.untar() function. This function allows authenticated users with CI Job write access to create symbolic links without adequate validation of absolute paths. As a result, an attacker can gain unauthorized write access to arbitrary server-side locations if a vulnerable TAR archive is extracted. This vulnerability serves as a bypass to a previous fix that addressed path segment manipulations but did not consider the implications of absolute symlink targets. It has been addressed in version 15.0.7.
