Authentication Bypass in Mousehole Management Service
CVE-2026-50025
6.9MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-50025?
The Mousehole service, which manages IP updates for MyAnonamouse (MAM), is affected by a vulnerability that allows unauthorized access due to the absence of application-layer authentication. Before version 0.4.05, the management boundary of the service is accessible, enabling any client on the network to read sensitive cookie-bearing state information, connect to WebSocket updates, and execute unauthorized actions. This situation arises primarily from improper handling of session cookies and the way the service is exposed over highly accessible ports. To mitigate this vulnerability, users are encouraged to update to version 0.4.0 or later.
