What is CVE-2026-50040?

The Storage Concentrator (SC & SCVM) developed by StoneFly is susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability. This issue arises from unsanitized content being displayed on 404 error pages. An attacker can exploit this by generating a malicious URL, which, when accessed by an authenticated user, executes arbitrary scripts in the user's browser session within the context of the application. Such exploitation could result in the theft of session cookies, unauthorized redirection of users, or the execution of unintended actions on behalf of the user.
