What is CVE-2026-50285?

The Pomerium identity and context-aware access proxy prior to version 0.32.8 contains a vulnerability in the decodeQueryStringV2 function, which handles zstd decompression of untrusted input without an output-memory restriction. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw in hosted or stateless deployments by sending a specially crafted payload to the callback endpoint, leading to excessive memory allocation that could crash or degrade the service. This vulnerability is not present in stateful deployments due to HMAC signature verification before decryption. Users are advised to upgrade to version 0.32.8 or later to mitigate this risk.
