What is CVE-2026-50547?

InvoicePlane, an open-source application for managing invoices, clients, and payments, has a vulnerability related to its Invoices::generate_xml() method. Prior to version 1.7.2, this method improperly appends a database-derived xml_id to the XMLconfigs helper directory, exposing the application to risks from local file inclusion. A low-privileged attacker with the ability to manipulate the e-invoice configuration could leverage traversal sequences to include arbitrary existing PHP files, potentially leading to harmful consequences. It's important to update to version 1.7.2 or later for improved security.
