What is CVE-2026-53354?

The Linux kernel is affected by a TLBI errata in several Arm CPU models, where the broadcast TLBI;DSB sequence may complete before the global observation of memory writes related to an invalidated TLB entry. Although TLB entries are invalidated correctly, this vulnerability impacts memory accesses tied to those entries. To mitigate this issue, it is advised to follow any affected TLBI;DSB sequence with an additional TLBI;DSB, ensuring that all memory write effects have been properly observed. The ARM64_WORKAROUND_REPEAT_TLBI has been recognized as a sufficient workaround for affected CPUs, and users should update their silicon errata documentation accordingly.
