What is CVE-2026-53596?

The FreeScout helpdesk application, built on the Laravel framework, has a vulnerability due to the lack of rate limiting on its file upload endpoint. This oversight allows any user to overwhelm the server with excessive upload requests, which can lead to database overload. As a result, this may cause a denial of service for all users accessing the application. However, this issue has been addressed in version 1.8.224, which implements necessary rate limiting controls.
