GStreamer RealMedia demuxer Vulnerability in GStreamer Plugins
CVE-2026-53703
7.1HIGH
What is CVE-2026-53703?
A vulnerability exists within the GStreamer RealMedia demuxer that affects the parsing of MDPR (media properties) chunks when handling RealMedia files. The demuxer does not properly validate the size of the MDPR chunk, leading to the potential reading of data beyond buffer limits. This oversight can cause application crashes and might inadvertently expose limited metadata, raising concerns regarding information disclosure in maliciously crafted files.
