What is CVE-2026-53986?

The Girafit camera app, available for both Android and iOS, along with Girafit camera devices, features a security flaw related to hardcoded credentials. Attackers can leverage this vulnerability by decompiling the app or monitoring unencrypted network traffic during live view registration. As a result, they can extract a static TURN relay username and session token, which are consistent across all installations and independent of individual users or devices. This exposed information could lead to unauthorized tracking, user impersonation, or further exploitation if the TURN relay password is also compromised.

Affected Version(s)

Girafit camera app 0 <= 1.9.4

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
