What is CVE-2026-54011?

Open WebUI, a self-hosted AI platform, introduces a security concern where user-controlled content can be rendered in an unsafe manner. Versions prior to 0.9.6 leverage Mermaid for rendering Markdown previews, wherein insecure configurations permit attackers to inject malicious scripts. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the victim's browser, posing significant security risks, especially for users interacting with the file preview feature.
