What is CVE-2026-54631?

Part-DB, an open-source inventory management system, contains a vulnerability where a static APP_SECRET value was committed in its repository before version 2.12.1. This hardcoded value, which Symfony uses for signing remember-me cookies, allows attackers to forge these cookies and gain unauthorized access to user sessions without any credentials. The issue arises when the official Docker image does not override this APP_SECRET at startup, making it exploitable if an attacker retrieves it from the public source. This vulnerability was addressed in version 2.12.1.

Affected Version(s)
