What is CVE-2026-54674?

FreePBX, an open-source IP PBX system, contains a command injection vulnerability affecting users authenticated via the User Control Panel (UCP) prior to versions 16.0.39 and 17.0.7. This flaw allows attackers with UCP access to execute arbitrary commands on the server as the webserver user, typically 'asterisk'. The vulnerability arises from insufficient sanitization of specific URL parameters, enabling crafted HTTP requests to trigger command executions. This issue poses greater risks to less-privileged UCP users compared to the more restricted Administrator Control Panel (ACP) users. The flaw has been addressed in subsequent versions of the product.
