What is CVE-2026-54697?

The ConnectBot SSH Client Library contains a vulnerability related to integer handling in the DerReader.readLength() method, which allows excessive long-form DER length octets to be processed without proper validation. This could lead to integer wraparound or excessive memory allocation issues, triggering an OutOfMemoryError when an attacker supplies a maliciously crafted private key. This vulnerability does not impact SSH server host keys or agent-forwarding messages using the input from the application. The issue has been resolved in version 0.3.1.
