What is CVE-2026-54730?

Authentik, an open-source identity provider, has a vulnerability in its enterprise Google Chrome device-trust stages. Prior to versions 2026.2.6 and 2026.5.5, these stages allowed the authentication process to advance without properly verifying the out-of-band device attestation. This flaw enables attackers, who reach the stage after initial authentication, to bypass the verification iframe that interacts with the Google Verified Access API. Consequently, they can authenticate using an unverified device, fully circumventing the intended device trust protections while other security factors remain enforced. The issue has been addressed in the latest updates.
