What is CVE-2026-55168?

The Runtipi personal homeserver orchestrator, in versions 4.10.0 and earlier, is vulnerable to a symbolic link attack. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by submitting a backup archive containing symbolic links. This allows them to redirect the application to write unauthorized data outside the intended directories, potentially compromising the security of the application. The issue has been addressed in version 4.10.1, which mitigates this risk.
