What is CVE-2026-55230?

Vvveb CMS, a user-friendly content management system, has a vulnerability resulting from inadequate HTML sanitization in versions before 1.0.8.6. Specifically, the system fails to properly strip event-handler attributes when a tag includes a greater-than character in a quoted attribute value. This flaw allows low-privilege content authors, such as those with author or contributor roles, to inject malicious JavaScript payloads into posts or product content. When this content is viewed by site visitors, including administrators, the injected script executes in their browsers, potentially leading to unauthorized access and account takeover. Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to version 1.0.8.6 or later to mitigate this risk.
