What is CVE-2026-55444?

The Goobi Viewer web application contains a vulnerability in the legacy RSS servlet, where it fails to properly validate user-supplied inputs for the q and filterQuery parameters. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to manipulate Solr queries, potentially exposing access-restricted records within generated RSS feeds. The issue can be exploited to bypass access controls by injecting Solr boolean operators, thereby rendering the intended restrictions ineffective. This vulnerability has been resolved in version 26.05.
