What is CVE-2026-55703?

The Snipe-IT IT asset management system contains a vulnerability that allows any activated account to request and access sensitive maintenance records for assets belonging to the same company, without proper permissions. Specifically, prior to version 8.6.3, the show() method in app/Http/Controllers/MaintenancesController.php did not enforce authorization checks. As a result, fields such as asset tags, suppliers, purchase costs, notes, and dates could be disclosed to unauthorized users. This issue has been resolved in version 8.6.3, emphasizing the importance of keeping the software updated to protect sensitive information.
