What is CVE-2026-56317?

Nuxt versions prior to 4.4.7 and the 3.x branch before 3.21.7 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the NoScript component. This flaw arises as the NoScript component writes slot content to innerHTML without proper escaping. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts through untrusted data supplied to NoScript slots, such as route.query parameters. When the noscript element is implicitly closed by script tags, these scripts execute in the document context, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and data exposure.
