What is CVE-2026-57026?

An Improper Validation of Syntactic Correctness of Input vulnerability in the SIP plugin of Juniper Networks Junos OS affects the MX Series with SPC3 and SRX Series. If the SIP ALG is enabled on an impacted device, processing a malformed SIP invite packet can cause a critical disruption. Specifically, it leads to a failure of the flow processing daemon (flowd), resulting in a crash and subsequent restart. This issue can cause a complete service outage, leaving systems vulnerable until automatic recovery occurs. Organizations should review their configurations and apply the necessary updates to mitigate this risk.
