What is CVE-2026-57245?

The flaw in Foxit PDF Reader occurs when the application opens a PDF and processes annotation elements tied to hyperlinks. The software does not adequately validate abnormal relationships and field combinations within these annotations, leading to the potential for internal objects to end up in an invalid state. As a result, during the destruction phase, this can cause an invalid pointer write, which triggers a crash of the application, compromising user experience and workflow.
