What is CVE-2026-57272?

The GeoWebPlayer, also referred to as 'Web Plugin' in GV-VMS documentation, extends the functionality of GeoVision software by introducing a WebSocket server. This server facilitates commands from localhost, including accessing critical arrays through an 'index' value. However, the vulnerability arises from the server's failure to validate this 'index,' leading to out-of-bounds array access. This oversight can allow unauthorized actions and potential security breaches across various GeoVision products.
