What is CVE-2026-57487?

The pupnp SDK, which is used to develop UPnP device and control point applications, contains a vulnerability in its HTTP parser when handling chunked Transfer-Encoding. Versions prior to 2.0.2 fail to enforce the maximum content length for decoded chunked bodies, potentially allowing an attacker to exploit this flaw. A remote peer could send a specially crafted HTTP response that causes the application to buffer an excessively large entity, leading to resource exhaustion and denial of service. The issue has been addressed in version 2.0.2.
