What is CVE-2026-57568?

The vulnerability in Lychee allows an authenticated user with album-edit permissions to insert a JavaScript URI within album or photo Markdown descriptions. Due to the configuration setting in config/markdown.php that enables allow_unsafe_links, when this description is rendered, it can execute attacker-controlled JavaScript. This execution can occur even for unauthenticated users viewing public albums, potentially exposing session data or allowing unauthorized actions in the context of an authenticated user. The issue has been addressed in version 7.6.0.
