What is CVE-2026-57819?

The Apache CXF framework allows setting a limit on the number of form parameters processed in a JAX-RS message through the 'maxFormParameterCount' configuration. However, a lack of a default limit can leave systems vulnerable to denial of service attacks, especially when handling requests with a significantly high number of form parameters. To mitigate this risk, users should upgrade to the recommended versions: 4.2.3, 4.1.8, or 3.6.12, which implement a default limitation of 500 parameters.

Affected Version(s)

Apache CXF 4.2.0 < 4.2.3

Apache CXF 4.0.0 < 4.1.8

Apache CXF 0 < 3.6.12
