What is CVE-2026-58224?

A flaw in Samba's CTDB, the clustered database service, allows remote attackers on the CTDB private network to exploit insufficient integrity validation of received protocol packets. This vulnerability permits the processing of malformed packets containing invalid field lengths and improperly terminated strings. An attacker may trigger a denial of service condition through process crashes or excessive memory consumption, and in some cases, it may lead to unauthorized disclosure of adjacent memory contents.
