What is CVE-2026-58475?
The Sustainable Irrigation Platform, up to version 5.2.16, is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw, enabling unauthorized attackers to inject malicious JavaScript payloads. This vulnerability arises from improper output encoding within program names submitted via HTTP requests, allowing injected scripts to execute in the browsers of unsuspecting users who access the affected web pages. Exploitation is made possible by the lack of a passphrase requirement or the availability of a default passphrase, 'opendoor', thus significantly increasing the risk to user security and data integrity.
Affected Version(s)
SIP 0 <= 5.2.16
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
