What is CVE-2026-58476?
The Sustainable Irrigation Platform (SIP) through version 5.2.16 is susceptible to a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute state-changing administrative actions by enticing a logged-in administrator to visit a malicious webpage. The absence of CSRF token validation or origin verification enables attackers to send HTTP GET requests on behalf of the administrator. Such actions can compromise the system significantly, including disabling the passphrase, rebooting the device, or even installing unauthorized plugins. The default configuration exacerbates this risk, as it exposes vulnerable endpoints to unauthenticated users, compounded by a default credential of 'opendoor' which poses a serious security threat.
Affected Version(s)
SIP 0 <= 5.2.16
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
