What is CVE-2026-58477?

The Sustainable Irrigation Platform (SIP) version 5.2.16 and earlier is susceptible to a mass assignment vulnerability. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to overwrite sensitive configuration settings by supplying arbitrary parameter names within HTTP requests. Vulnerable configurations include critical elements like the passphrase and listening port. Additionally, due to inadequate request validation, attackers can exploit this vulnerability through cross-site request forgery, further compromising the application's integrity. Security measures must be implemented to validate input parameters properly and protect sensitive configurations.

Affected Version(s)

SIP 0 <= 5.2.16

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
