Command Injection Vulnerability in Sustainable Irrigation Platform by Unknown Vendor
CVE-2026-58479
Key Information:

What is CVE-2026-58479?
The Sustainable Irrigation Platform (SIP) versions up to 5.2.16 are vulnerable to command injection through the optional cli_control plugin. This weakness enables unauthenticated attackers to exploit the platform by submitting a malicious payload via the plugin's HTTP endpoint. Once an attack is initiated, the platform allows for arbitrary operating-system command execution without adequate authentication measures, particularly because of the lack of passphrase protection or the use of a default passphrase ('opendoor'). This can lead to serious security breaches, particularly when coupled with the activation of irrigation stations, which can inadvertently trigger the execution of these malicious commands.
Affected Version(s)
SIP 0 <= 5.2.16
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
