Denial of Service Vulnerability in mcp-searxng Model Context Protocol Server
CVE-2026-58483
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-58483?
The mcp-searxng Model Context Protocol server is vulnerable due to improper handling of URLs within the web_url_read function. The issue arises from how the checkContentLength method processes the absence of a Content-Length header, allowing attackers to bypass set limits. This flaw can lead to unbounded memory consumption and increased CPU usage when response bodies are excessively large. An unauthenticated HTTP client can exploit this vulnerability to initiate denial of service attacks. This critical issue has been addressed in version 1.7.1.
