What is CVE-2026-59097?

Taiga, a popular project management tool, has a security flaw that allows unauthorized remote attackers to create default due-date records in any project by exploiting unprotected POST endpoints. This vulnerability affects users of version 6.10.1 and earlier, where attackers can bypass permission checks by submitting arbitrary project identifiers to the user-story, task, and issue due-date API viewsets. This improper authorization allows them to pre-empt project administrators from establishing due dates, essentially taking control over due date records before legitimate users can initialize them.

Affected Version(s)

taiga-back 0 < 6.10.2

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
