Stack Buffer Overflow in GStreamer's DTLS Plugin
CVE-2026-59692
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-59692?
A vulnerability has been identified in GStreamer's DTLS plugin, where a stack buffer overflow occurs during the DTLS handshake due to insufficient bounds checking. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a certificate with an oversized Subject Distinguished Name, which exceeds the allocated 2048-byte stack buffer. This exploitation can lead to a process crash and result in denial of service, affecting the availability of the software.
