What is CVE-2026-59714?

The Open WebUI platform has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to overwrite messages in channels they do not belong to, including private and direct messaging (DM) channels. This occurs when a user sends a chat completion request featuring a channel-prefixed chat_id and a target message_id. The routing mechanism fails to bind the message_id to the appropriate channel, risking unauthorized message alterations. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 0.10.0.
