What is CVE-2026-59806?

Gradio, an application developed by Gradio App, contains a vulnerability that impacts versions prior to 6.20.0. This security issue involves an open redirect and server-side request forgery that can be exploited by attackers. By manipulating the file_fetch() function in the /gradio_api/file= endpoint, hackers can redirect users to malicious URLs. Furthermore, this vulnerability may allow attackers to perform client-side SSRF, enabling them to target internal endpoints, such as cloud metadata services, leading to the unauthorized retrieval of sensitive credentials, including EC2 IAM role credentials. Users of Gradio are urged to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this security risk.

Affected Version(s)

gradio 0 < 6.20.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
