What is CVE-2026-61515?

The Puwell IP Camera firmware versions 2.x through 4.x is susceptible to an unauthenticated command injection vulnerability. This flaw enables remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands by sending specially crafted JSON payloads to the DebugShell interface exposed on TCP port 34567. The vulnerability arises from the absence of proper authentication and inadequate input sanitization in the binary protocol service. Attackers can leverage this weakness to directly issue arbitrary commands to the underlying operating system, resulting in full device compromise and potential unauthorized access to sensitive data.

Affected Version(s)

IP Camera 2.x <= 4.x

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
