What is CVE-2026-61517?

Netis NX10 firmware has a vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary shell commands as root. This is achieved through an OS command injection in the ping diagnostic handler, where the IpAddr parameter is improperly validated. The insufficient denylist allows for exploitation via command substitution and alternate field separator expansion, potentially compromising system integrity. Proper measures should be taken to secure affected firmware versions.
