What is CVE-2026-61536?

A vulnerability in Banks allows attackers to execute arbitrary code due to improper handling of Tool JSON objects in versions prior to 2.4.3. The application parses these objects from rendered completion blocks, leading to potential exploitation through a user-supplied import_path. This oversight enables malicious tool calls to be executed without any sanitization or allowlist checks. As a result, callable Python attributes can be resolved, leading to significant security risks. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2.4.3 to mitigate this issue.
