What is CVE-2026-61701?

Laravel MagicLink has a vulnerability where it creates authentication links and stores serialized action objects without adequate integrity protection. This affects versions 2.0.0 through 2.25.1, allowing an attacker with the ability to manipulate database records, such as through SQL injection or compromised administrative access, to insert malicious serialized object graphs. When these magic links are accessed, the unsafe unserialize() function can execute arbitrary code within the application. This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access or execution of unintended actions in the application. The issue was addressed in version 2.25.1.
