What is CVE-2026-61743?

Chartbrew, an open-source web application, is vulnerable due to improper outbound URL validation techniques. The server's modules allowed an authenticated user who holds control over DNS names to manipulate requests, potentially exposing internal services or private resources. This vulnerability arises from a discrepancy between how the application validates a target hostname and the actual DNS resolution performed during the connection, allowing for the redirection of API requests to unauthorized internal locations. The issue has been resolved in version 5.2.2.
