Namespace Normalization Issue in Kamaji Hosted Control Plane for Kubernetes
CVE-2026-62246
8.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-62246?
Kamaji, the Hosted Control Plane Manager for Kubernetes, exhibits a vulnerability stemming from improper namespace and name normalization in the functions GetDefaultDatastoreSchema() and GetDefaultDatastoreUsername(). This flaw enables distinct tenants with overlapping normalized identifiers to inadvertently share the control-plane state, potentially allowing one tenant to read, modify, or even delete another tenant's Kubernetes data. This significant security lapse highlights the importance of proper data isolation and has been addressed in version 26.7.4-edge.
