The Grav API Plugin for Grav CMS has a vulnerability that allows non-super accounts with specific permissions to create API keys with super-admin privileges. This arises from missing checks in the UsersController methods, enabling unauthorized actions such as generating API keys and managing two-factor authentication settings without proper validation. This flaw can lead to persistent security risks, allowing attackers to gain elevated access to the Grav CMS environment. The issue was addressed and resolved in version 1.0.6 of the Grav API Plugin.
