What is CVE-2026-62843?

File Browser’s archive builder has a vulnerability that allows attackers to exploit improper handling of filenames during the archive creation process. Specifically, versions 2.63.6 to 2.63.16 incorrectly replace backslashes with forward slashes, enabling an attacker with upload rights to create an archive entry that escapes the intended extraction directory. This flaw can lead to unintended file access for users when they extract generated zip or tar archives. The issue was resolved in version 2.63.17.

Affected Version(s)

filebrowser >= 2.63.6, < 2.63.17
