What is CVE-2026-62856?

A vulnerability in FreeScout, a self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox application, allows unauthorized access to notification events across users. The polycast/receive endpoint is vulnerable as it does not properly escape SQL LIKE wildcards in channel names. An attacker with a valid CSRF token can exploit this weakness to craft a wildcard channel name, enabling the retrieval of sensitive notification payloads containing users' conversation messages, identifiers, URLs, and HTML content. This issue was addressed in version 1.8.226.
