What is CVE-2026-63099?

TheHive version 4.1.24 contains a broken object-level authorization vulnerability that affects its attachment download functionality. This flaw enables authenticated users to access attachments meant for other organizations. Attackers can exploit this security gap by supplying a content-hash identifier to the attachment download endpoints, allowing unauthorized access and download of sensitive files. The lack of organization-scoped authorization checks in the AttachmentSrv.visible endpoint further exacerbates the issue, permitting arbitrary attachment downloads across organizational boundaries.

Affected Version(s)

TheHive 0 <= 4.1.24

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
