What is CVE-2026-63199?

The Perses dashboard, a tool for visualizing observability data, contains a security vulnerability where low-privilege users can exploit improperly configured datasource permissions. In versions up to 0.54.0-rc.0, certain project and global datasource paths permit a user to create datasources without requiring read permissions for associated secrets. This allows users to attach secrets they cannot normally access, which can lead to the unintentional exposure of sensitive data in plaintext. The issue has been addressed and fixed in version 0.54.0-rc.0.

Affected Version(s)

perses >= 0.43.0, < 0.54.0-rc.0
