What is CVE-2026-63298?

A vulnerability in LXD's handling of NVIDIA instance configuration allows authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary configuration directives. By inputting newline characters in key configuration values like 'nvidia.driver.capabilities' or 'nvidia.require.*', attackers can manipulate the 'lxc.conf' file generated by the system. This exploitation can lead to the execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the LXD daemon, posing significant risks to host system security and integrity.
