What is CVE-2026-63414?

The Shopify App contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated controllers using token-exchange to expose a request-derived shop context instead of authenticating with a verified Shopify ID token. As a result, the current_shopify_domain can reflect an arbitrary shop parameter, enabling attackers with valid Shopify session tokens to impersonate other shops. This could lead to unauthorized access to application data and actions scoped for different shops. The vulnerability affects versions of the Shopify App from 22.1.0 up to 23.0.3 and has been addressed in version 23.0.3.

Affected Version(s)

shopify_app >= 22.1.0, < 23.0.3
