What is CVE-2026-63738?

SurrealDB versions 3.1.0 through 3.1.4 exhibit a serious issue where the enforcement of field-level SELECT permissions is ineffective during graph-edge or back-reference traversals. This flaw enables attackers with table-level SELECT access to bypass security measures, allowing them to retrieve sensitive field values that should remain hidden. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can materialize records through graph traversals rather than directly scanning tables, posing a significant risk to data confidentiality and integrity.
