What is CVE-2026-63751?

SurrealDB versions prior to 3.1.0 have a vulnerability that enables authenticated users to bypass field-level permissions during JSON Patch operations. This flaw allows users to read sensitive data by leveraging the UPDATE PATCH command with an empty 'from' pointer in copy or move actions, enabling them to replicate all record fields, including those that are restricted by field-level SELECT permissions, into locations of their choosing. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to data confidentiality and integrity.
